Gi Glo is proud to announce the successful installation of a 45 kW solar power system for the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA). This milestone project underscores our continued commitment to delivering reliable, high-performance renewable energy solutions to Zimbabwe’s leading institutions.
The system is powered by 54 high-efficiency 550W Jinko solar panels, known globally for their exceptional durability, performance, and energy yield. These Tier 1 solar panels are strategically mounted to optimize solar exposure, ensuring maximum power generation throughout the day.
To convert and manage this solar energy effectively, the setup includes 4 Sunsynk 12kW hybrid inverters. These state-of-the-art inverters offer seamless integration between solar, grid, and battery storage, providing the organisation with the flexibility to operate independently or in conjunction with the national grid. The Sunsynk inverters also allow for real-time monitoring and smart energy management, which is essential for an organization like ZERA that promotes sustainable energy use.
To ensure consistent power supply even during grid outages or low-sunlight periods, the system is supported by a robust battery bank comprising 12 Pylontech 100Ah 48V lithium-ion batteries. These batteries are well-known for their deep-cycle reliability, safety, and long service life, offering stable backup power to keep the organisation’s critical operations running uninterrupted.
This installation not only reduces ZERA’s dependency on the grid but also sets a leading example of renewable energy adoption in Zimbabwe.
